Tony Duong, AICP, is a Senior Planner at Barrett Planning Group, and is driven by a passion for helping communities cultivate futures that residents are proud to call their own. He specializes in housing plans, neighborhood plans, and community-wide comprehensive plans, bringing strong expertise in visual communication, research, data analysis, GIS mapping, and various software tools to all his work. In his process-oriented approach, he proficiently integrates community participation into decision-making, not only to ensure equitable outcomes but to acknowledge that open collaboration is necessary to solve complex modern challenges. Tony’s background includes conducting innovative qualitative research, evaluating neighborhood design and accessibility, and teaching classes on design software tools as part of his MA in Urban & Environmental Policy & Planning at Tufts University. These fundamental skills shape his commitment to advance affordable housing, equitable design, livable streets, vibrant neighborhoods, and people-centered communities. Away from his desk, Tony finds joy in capturing moments with his camera, cooking, and swimming in his neighborhood pool.
